India Tour Of South Africa: Captains And Teams Squad Announcement, Schedule Details: After the end of the T20 series against Australia, the Indian team is going to tour South Africa. On the South tour, the Indian team is going to play a series of 3 T-20 and 3 ODI matches as well as two Test matches.

Teams have been announced for all these 3 series. Indian team’s regular captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli will not be a part of the T20 and ODI teams.

Rahul-Surya Becomes Captain

KL Rahul will take charge of the ODI against South Africa. Whereas Suryakumar Yadav will be seen captaining the team in T-20. Suryakumar Yadav is also captaining the team in the T20 series against Australia before South Africa.

Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, India has won two out of three matches so far. However, Rohit Sharma will return to the team as captain for the Test match series.

T-20 Match Schedule

  • The first T20 match will be played in Durban on 10 December. (9:30 pm Indian time)
  • The second T20 match will be played on 12 December in Gwekberha. (9:30 pm Indian time)
  • The third and last T20 match will be played on 14 December in Johannesburg. (9:30 pm Indian time)

ODI Match Schedule

  • The first ODI will be played on 17 December in Johannesburg. (1:30 pm Indian time)
  • The second ODI will be played on 19 December in Gwekberha. (4:30 pm Indian time)
  • The third ODI will be played on 21 December in Paarl. (4:30 pm Indian time)

Test Match Schedule

  • On 26th December, on the occasion of Boxing Day, the teams of India and South Africa will play the first test in Centurion. (1:30 pm Indian time)
  • The second test match of the series will be played in Cape Town from January 3. (1:30 pm Indian time)
