IPL 2024 Mini Auction: First Time, A Woman Will Host IPL Auction: There will be an auction of players for IPL 2024 today. Like every year, this time too people will keep an eye on it. Cricket fans are very curious about which franchise has bought a player.

The popularity of IPL auctions is increasing every year. Although today is a mini auction, before this a mega auction was held in 2022. To improve their teams and bring balance to it, all the teams will try to get better players.

Bets Will Be Placed On 333 Players

A total of 333 players are included in the auction to be held today. 333 players have registered themselves for this auction for IPL 2024. Initially, this number was 1166 but 10 franchises together decided to reduce this number to 300.

77 Slots Will Be Filled

A total of 77 slots will be filled in different teams. Out of 333, 214 are Indian players while the remaining 116 are foreign players.

In this, 116 players are capped, that is, those who are already playing, while 215 are hoping to play for the first time. There are two players from associate countries also.

All 10 franchises have a total of Rs 262.95 crore players to buy in today’s auction. Gujarat Titans has the highest amount of Rs 38.15 crore. The main reason for this is Hardik Pandya’s departure from the team. At the same time, Sunrisers Hyderabad has Rs 34 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders have Rs 32.7 crore. Chennai Super Kings have Rs 23.25 crore, Punjab Kings have Rs 29.1 crore, Mumbai Indians have Rs 17.75 crore, Lucknow Giants have Rs 13.15 crore, and Rajasthan Royals have Rs 14.5 crore.

Maximum Spending Limit Of Rs 2 Crore Only

In the auction to be held today, a total of 333 players have been divided into 19 slots according to their ability.

Specialist batsman, all-rounder, wicketkeeper, fast bowler, and spinner. A player can register for a maximum of 2 crore slots for purchase.

Three Indian Players Register In A Slot Worth Rs 2 Crore

The list of fast bowlers also includes Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel and Umesh Yadav, who have registered themselves in the slot of Rs 2 crore. 13 players have been registered in the Rs 1.5 crore category.

11 players have registered themselves in the Rs 75 lakh category, and 43 players have registered themselves in the Rs 50 lakh category.

Youngest And Oldest Player

The youngest player for today’s auction is Kwena Mphaka, who is from South Africa, while Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan is the oldest player, who is 38 years old.

These Players Will Not Be Seen

This time Ben Stokes will not be seen in IPL. He was released by Chennai Super Kings last year. He has undergone knee surgery, due to which he will not participate in the auction. Joffra Archer will also not participate in the auction, he has undergone an elbow operation.

Apart from this, the routes which will not be included in the auction were also released by Rajasthan Royals last year.

Shakib Al Hasan will also not be included in today’s auction, he was released by KKR. Kedar Jadhav will also not be seen in today’s auction, he was released by RCB. RCB had bought him for one crore.\

Will Keep An Eye On These Players

In today’s auction, everyone’s eyes will be on Mitchell Starc, for whom there may be a clash between the teams. Five franchises have expressed interest in him. Starc has participated in IPL only in 2014 and 2015.
