India’s young cricketers Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill got a wonderful opportunity to meet one of the greatest Caribbean batsmen, Brian Lara.

It was an opportunity to share knowledge with the legend himself at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in West Indies after the Indian team won the third ODI.

BCCI has also shared this video. Meanwhile, Ishaan Kishan reveals how Brian Lara messaged him on Instagram and he couldn’t believe how such a big legend of the game could message him. Then they were very happy.

For the first time, a Men’s One Day International match has been played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. Here India scored a big score of 351 runs in batting-friendly conditions. Ishaan Kishan has also been given the Player of the Series award after scoring three consecutive ODI half-centuries.

Ishaan told Lara, coming and performing where your name is, has been very special for me. I have seen glimpses of your batting through highlights, and how you used to execute those shots. So I am happy to come here and perform.

Shubman Gill also described himself as mesmerized by Lara’s batting. How Lara loved to dominate the bowlers. Lara also did not hide his love for the young batsmen of India and described India as his second home, saying,

“India has so much talent at the moment that they can field many teams. They can field two, three playing 11s. Seeing these players on the international stage here at the academy fills me with immense pride.”
