Jai Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has recently told that there may be a change in the schedule of the ODI World Cup to be held in India this year.

He has said that it will be announced soon. Jai Shah told that a 2-3 member board has suggested changing the date of some matches of the World Cup. Especially, it is not just for the match against Pakistan.

Because the first Navratri will be celebrated on 15 October. The security agencies have explained to the BCCI that the date of the match should be changed due to the festival.

A source has learned that according to the concerns raised by the security agencies, the situation will have to be considered and a decision will have to be taken immediately.

It is also worth noting that during the World Cup, not only Navratri but also big Hindu festivals like Diwali and Dussehra are going to come.

In such a situation, BCCI will again have to face a lot of difficulties to get the match done. The biggest concern is security preparedness.

The first match of the Indian team will be with Australia on 8 October in Chennai. After this, there will be a match with Afghanistan in Delhi on 11 October. There is a great match against Pakistan in Ahmedabad on 14 October.

There will be a match against Bangladesh in Pune on 19 October. There will be a match against New Zealand in Dharamshala on 22 October.

Then there will be a match against England in Lucknow on 29 October, the Netherlands in Mumbai on 2 November, and South Africa in Kolkata on 5 November. The final league match will be against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on 11 November.
