However, the left-arm pacer will continue to play franchise-based cricket. Wahab Riaz has played 27 Tests, 91 ODIs, and 36 T20Is, taking 237 international wickets. He last played for Pakistan in December 2020.

However, the senior fast bowler recently played in the Pakistan Super League in March this year. Wahab Riaz wrote in a tweet on Wednesday, ‘Retiring from international cricket’.

Talking about his retirement, Wahab said, ‘I have been speaking about my retirement plans for the last two years, that 2023 is my goal to retire from international cricket, and I feel more comfortable now than ever. I believe that I have given the best service to my country and the national team.

Riaz said after his international retirement on Wednesday, ‘It was an honor to represent Pakistan on the international stage.
