Should Virat Kohli Play In T20 World Cup 2024 Or Not?: ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Whether Team India’s star batsman Virat Kohli will be a part of the team in T20 World Cup 2024, nothing has been clear yet.

Meanwhile, Team India’s former batting coach Sanjay Bangar says that a player like Kohli must be in the World Cup of T20 format to be held next year.

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar has strongly advocated for Virat Kohli to play ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and USA from June 4 to 30. Bangar told during a conversation on ‘Cricket Basu’s YouTube channel that, ‘100 percent Virat Kohli should be in the Indian T20 team for T20 World Cup 2024’.

Bangar said, ‘He performed brilliantly in the last T20 World Cup and the way he handled the front in close matches, I don’t see any reason why he can’t be seen playing T20 cricket and next year’s T20 World Cup. ‘

Sanjay Bangar said, ‘You know that in big situations where emotions run increased, a small mistake can cost you dearly. You need great players who have gone through those situations. At that point, it doesn’t really matter what your strike rate is, or what you have done in the IPL, in big games you need players with big matches. He (Kohli) showed such spirit in the India-Pakistan match.’

Bangar also made it clear that batting at the highest level is not just about hitting fours and sixes. It is also about scoring one and two runs that put Virat Kohli ahead of many generations of cricketers. He explained that ‘Everyone has a style of scoring and it does not mean that only big hitters can win games.

Bangar further said that ‘If this had happened, the West Indies team would have won all the T20 World Cups. Virat Kohli is the kind of batsman who can score a century without hitting a six, and he has done it. He didn’t hit a single six against Gujarat Titans and still scored a century. All his shots were grounded and that says a lot about Virat Kohli.’
