IND Vs PAK Bilateral Series Will Start?

There may be a bridge. Binny and Shukla returned to India via the Attari-Wagah border on Wednesday after watching the Asia Cup match at the invitation of the PCB.

This was the first time in 17 years that two BCCI office-bearers visited Pakistan. After returning from the trip, Binny told PTI-language that, ‘We had a very good meeting in Pakistan. We got very nice hospitality. He took very good care of us. The main agenda was to watch cricket and sit and discuss things with him. Overall, it was a very good trip.

In fact, the two countries only play tournaments against each other in ICC or ACC events, as bilateral series have been suspended due to diplomatic tensions between the two countries. The last time the Indian cricket team traveled to Pakistan was in 2008 for the Asia Cup. Pakistan last hosted India in 2006 for a bilateral series. Pakistan last toured India in 2012.

What BCCI President And Vice-President Said After Returned From Pakistan?

When asked about the possibility of resumption of bilateral cricket with Pakistan, Binny reiterated that he cannot take a call on it. BCCI can’t say anything. It is a government issue, and they have to make a decision. We just have to wait.

Actually, India and Pakistan are currently busy in the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka and will face each other again in the much-awaited World Cup match in Ahmedabad on October 14. Although there were reservations about Pakistan traveling to India for the World Cup, the PCB eventually agreed.

Shukla also appreciated PCB for its hospitality. He said, ‘The meeting went very well. Pakistan Cricket Board took very good care of us. Security was tremendous, all the arrangements were excellent. It was a goodwill visit for cricket which went well.’

Why did Pakistan visit?

He said that ‘Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah is also the Secretary of BCCI, so keeping this in mind, we made this tour. BCCI has good relations with all the ACC members, so we also visited Sri Lanka.

The first match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup was washed out due to rain and both the teams will face each other once again in Colombo on Sunday before a possible clash in the final.’
